The project GROVE was done in 1999-2000. I moved to Vero Beach Florida for 2 years and was struck by an aging yet working system of Citrus Groves that were once lauded as some of the finest conditions of climate and soil to produce citrus in the U.S. it was however being plowed under in order to create housing divisions. Attracted to the pattern and repetition of this agricultural landscape I placed the fruit in the center of each frame, each image is the same and yet unique.
